 Define Instruments Twin link A point-to-point wireless system consists of an input node and an output node that transmit long-distance signals between them for remote control and communication. The input node has two general isolation channels and can accept a range of inputs, such as TC and RTD, mA and V, NPN/PNP, potentiometer and AC current sensor. The output node provides two 4-20mA isolated analog outputs for retransmission to PLC and SCADA systems.
 
Adding Repeaters will extend the Twin link system's range to 0.9 miles (1.5 kilometers) of sight per repeater. An additional 15 Repeaters can be used in the point-to-point system, increasing the total transmission range to 14.9 miles (24 km). When used with the attached 3dBi antenna, both the Twin link and repeater provide FCC authentication. However, the upgraded antenna does not. The single antenna of the WG-8dBi improves the transmission range to 2.5 miles, the WG-12dBi offers 3.1 miles, the WG-19dBi 8.1 miles, and the WG-24dBi 16.1 miles. The signal will be transmitted through columns, walls, brick and concrete, but the transmission of the signal will be reduced if the distance is obstructed.
